The Case Breakers said in a statement they wanted to share evidence about Ms Bates with local police, but local police said they were "100 per cent" sure the Zodiac Killer wasn't responsible for her death. Sources also told the newspaper that the latest evidence didn't appear to be conclusive. The San Francisco office of the FBI said in a statement to the San Francisco Chronicle that the case remained open and they had "no new information to share at the moment."
